International Student Scholarship Fund

UIUCares is thrilled that we could tackle another one of our key areas, Education. We learned of the struggles that our international students have with paying their full tuition, particularly with the ever-fluctuating value of the Naira. In 2017, we were excited to launch our first UIUCares International Student Scholarship fund. The scholarship was for $1000 and was open to any Igbo student who is enrolled in a US school and has a G.P.A of 3.5 and above.

After careful review by the UIUCares Committee we were happy to announce the winners of our first annual UIUCares International Student Scholarship recipients of 2017:

• Prince Akpokiro
• Ikenna Ekelem
• Chidimma Imediewu
• Akachukwu Nwosu
• Tochukwu Oyenze

We have paid the full scholarship amounts into their school accounts and we wish them well with their studies.
